FRANKLY
Internship - Branding & Package Design - June 2022
As an intern at WOW Branding, my role mainly consisted of file prepping, creating slide decks, and participating in brainstorming sessions. I was also lucky enough to be assigned a conceptual design project for one of WOW’s top clients.
Process
For this project, our client wanted the design to encapsulate the brand’s core values of ethics and sustainability. I developed the name Frankly, drawing inspiration from the famous line “Frankly darling, I don’t give a damn.” True to the brand, it is unapologetically honest.
For the logo and wordmark, I used the process of elimination and market research to narrow down to the perfect fit.
My design process is fluid and adaptable, allowing me to pivot easily based on the project and my client's needs.
When I drafted these initial designs, nothing felt very unique to the brand. I decided to draw inspiration from where the products were sourced.
This direction captured the heart of the brand: ethical and sustainable sourcing practices. The result was a design that authentically represented the brand and would stand out in a grocery store.
